It's been too long!

So this balance of life and a blog seems to be getting the best of me!
I have missed writing but seem to enjoy living out my story instead of writing it these days. Matthew and I are doing wonderfully well in our sweet little home. We have come decades from when we first got it, and it still has what feels like a century left until it's "complete." I still, at times, feel like I am playing house and none of this is real, but when I realize that my reality is so much sweeter than I could ever imagine... that's when I feel the best.
Many people had plenty to say about moving into my "parents house" but let me tell you, it is the BIGGEST blessing. Yes, at times and on certain days, such as their birthdays or anniversaries, it's hard and I cry... a lot, but I know they would be so happy to know I am here and I can't imagine a more perfect home.
We decided to add a little bit to the crazy chaos, and got a sweet 7 week old puppy back in October. It was unplanned love at first sight and I cried (literally) at the thought of leaving her in that adoption center. We were in no way ready for a puppy but good Lord, avoid eye contact next time you walk in to Petsmart! After 3 days I was sobbing in the kitchen and ready to give her back because she was such a mess, but I am happy to report she is doing better. Mona is now 6 months old and we just went to our first night of puppy training class last night. She did much better than we expected and we can't wait to see how much progress she makes over the next 6 weeks.
I am now working with BeautiControl as a private spa consultant. I LOVE IT. I have been a certified consultant for about 2 months now and business is good! Matthew is still working part time at the cabinet shop but has sent out his resume for a youth pastor position. He has had a few interviews but found out yesterday that he did not get the job from his most recent interview. He still has high hopes but we would greatly appreciate prayers for the Lords timing and our patience.
Over Spring Break (last week) we were able to go see Shannon and Jeff in Magnolia. We hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving, and it was definitely time for another visit. We were able to stay an entire week which was a blessing. We did lots of shopping, eating and catching up, just what we needed!
Our next project coming up is MY NEW KITCHEN! Matthew has promised to build me a new kitchen by my birthday (end of June.) This kitchen always seemed nice while I was living here with my parents, but good golly I don't know how mom did it. NOT enough cabinet space or counter space and that is just the two of us! I give her major props and appreciation. We are tearing it all out and starting from scratch (I married a cabinet builder so why not!) moving the refrigerator, getting a new one at that- and adding counters and cabinets in its place- CAN'T WAIT :)
We are both still in school- Matt is just an hour short of full time but goes to school and work almost everyday. I am taking one class there, Painting III. I thought it would be good to stay with a professor that I liked, but I am thinking that I will find a new plan and a new place next semester. I still want to be an art major, but DBU is not the place. Our art department is by NO means state of the art yet we pay over a grand.. I am just not thinking that is smart. We purchase and use only our own materials, which we buy ourselves.. you do the math. I am considering applying to an art institute or something of that nature. Also continue praying for us in that department :)

I will try to keep more updated posts but no promises! Love you all
